Another heat record broken Sunday

The high temperature record for Prince George was obliterated Sunday.

Environment Canada reports a high temperature of 36.4 degrees Celsius on Sunday, shattering the old record for June 27 of 28.5 degrees Celsius, set in 1992.

And it’s not going to cool down yet. Environment Canada is predicting highs of 38 degrees Celsius on Monday and Tuesday before it cools slightly to a high of 33 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.

A heat warning is still in effect for most of the province.
