The Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA) of Northern BC held their Annual General Meeting (AGM) last week in Prince George, BC and a broad spectrum of expertise connected to the homebuilding sector is well represented on the Board of Directors.
Nathan Saarela, owner and operator of Ulko Contractors, is at the helm of the Board for his second year, and has a seat on the provincial CHBA board, lending a northern voice to the residential building industry in BC. Born and raised in Prince George, Saarela has deep roots in the region and is heavily involved within the community.
Past President, Angèle Heinrichs, owner and operator of award winning Angèle’s Drafting & Design continues to showcase her expertise in home building trades locally and provincially.
Board members of the CHBA Northern BC are leaders in the residential construction industry working to shape informed policy, test building science to build energy efficient homes, raise the bar in the home renovation market and work together to share knowledge and experience and advocate for resilient trades training.
The CHBA is a tri-level, membership driven association serving at the regional, provincial, and national level. Members donate their time across the country to advocate for housing affordability. The residential construction industry is one of Canada’s largest employers.
