Susan Scott has withdrawn her candidacy in the upcoming municipal elections.
Scott was elected to council in 2014 and has served three terms.
“I am supported by family and friends in this decision, this support has held me throughout my municipal career. Honesty is a virtue that I treasure and I appreciate its presence,” she said in a media release.
In an interview with the Citizen she said a family member is dealing with health issues and she wanted to be there fore them.
