The Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society has appointed Erin Connelly (Anderlini) as its new Executive Director, effective August 31, 2026.
A lifelong resident of Prince George, Connelly brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in the nonprofit and social services sector, along with a deep commitment to improving the health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities throughout Northern British Columbia.
Connelly currently serves as the society’s Director of Operations, where she has played a pivotal role in strengthening organizational excellence, developing innovative programs, fostering strategic community partnerships, and supporting the continued growth of Hospice. Her appointment reflects the Board of Directors’ confidence in her leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment to the future of the organization.
She holds a Master of Education in Counselling from the University of Northern British Columbia and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor. Throughout her career, she has worked extensively with Indigenous social service organizations, building respectful and lasting relationships with First Nations communities, social service agencies, government partners, and funders. Her expertise includes strategic leadership, contract management, grant development, human resources, clinical supervision, advocacy, and program development.
Beyond her professional role, Connelly is an active community volunteer. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Soonats’ooneh Community Health Centre and volunteers with the Two Rivers Gallery, the Prince George Humane Society, and the College Heights Community Association, reflecting her longstanding commitment to giving back to the community she calls home.

Board Chair Rod Holmes welcomed Connelly’s appointment, noting that her collaborative leadership style, extensive experience, and commitment to compassionate care make her exceptionally well suited to lead the Society into its next chapter.

The Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society has become a recognized leader in hospice palliative care, grief support, research, education, and innovative community-based programs. Through Residential Hospice, Home Hospice, grief and bereavement services, programs that support people living with life-limiting illness, meaningful volunteer opportunities, education, and collaborative community partnerships, the Society provides compassionate care and support to thousands of individuals and families each year.
As Executive Director, Connelly will continue building on this strong foundation, leading the organization through its next phase of growth while advancing the Society’s vision of ensuring every person has access to compassionate, high-quality hospice palliative care, grief support, and community-based services.
The Board of Directors also extends its sincere appreciation to Donna Flood for her exceptional leadership and lasting contributions to Hospice. During her tenure, the Society experienced unprecedented growth in programs, partnerships, research, innovation, and community impact, creating a legacy that will benefit individuals and families throughout Northern British Columbia for generations to come.
