The Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society (PG Hospice) is launching its inaugural Hospice Country Music Festival, taking place August 6, 2026, at the Prince George Rodeo Grounds at CN Centre.
This exciting new 19+ community event will bring together country music, community spirit, and compassionate care in support of hospice services throughout northern British Columbia. Festival-goers can look forward to a full day of live country music featuring Canadian country music headliner Aaron Goodvin, along with performances by local favourites Chris Goodwin, Rick Stavely, YXS, and additional artists to be announced.
The festival will also feature food trucks, a local vendor market, beer gardens, games, activities, and plenty of opportunities to gather with friends and enjoy one of Prince George’s newest outdoor summer events.
“This event is about bringing our community together in a fun and meaningful way while
supporting compassionate care for families throughout our region,” said Donna Flood, Executive Director of Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society. “Hospice touches all of us at some point in our lives, and this festival creates an opportunity for people to come together, celebrate community, enjoy great music, and support the compassionate care our friends, neighbours, and loved ones deserve.”
Funds raised through the Hospice Country Music Festival will support the Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society’s 10-bed Residential Hospice House, Home Hospice Program, grief and bereavement supports, and programs for children, youth, and families.
While hospice services receive partial funding through the Ministry of Health, a significant portion of programs and services rely on fundraising, sponsorships, donations, and community support.
Additional festival details, sponsorship opportunities, entertainment announcements, vendor
applications, and ticket information will be released in the coming months.
