Knowledge Garden open for the season

The Knowledge Garden at the Prince George Public Library is now officially open for the season.

The outdoor community space offers visitors a welcoming place to read, learn, connect, and enjoy the warmer months in a peaceful and inspiring setting. Designed as an extension of the library experience, the Knowledge Garden supports wellness, creativity, literacy, and community engagement for patrons of all ages.

Throughout the season, the space will host a variety of programming opportunities, including Storytime Under the Stars, Exploring the Knowledge Garden, Bicycle Repair Café, and Knit in Public Day. Community members are encouraged to stop by, explore the garden, and picnic among regional plants, including species that have been indicated for traditional use by local First Nations, harvest haskap and saskatoon berries, as well as enjoy local species. The Knowledge Garden is open until October (weather permitting), Monday to Saturday from 10:15am and closes approximately 30 mins before the library closes.
