Fire damages home on Hemlock Street

At 2:15 a.m. on March 9, Prince George Fire Rescue crews from three halls responded to a residential structure fire in the 1400 block of Hemlock Street.

First arriving crews found heavy flames and smoke exiting from a carport on a multi-family dwelling. The quick actions of the responding crews knocked down the fire and prevented the spread to neighboring residences.

There were no injuries to residents or firefighters. Estimated damage is approximately $120,000. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined and remains under investigation.
