Young Prince George pro-wrestler battles back after unknown illness

Primetime Wrestling returns to the Prince George Civic Centre on March 13 and 14 for two nights of high-energy professional wrestling, with both events raising funds for the Prince George Secondary School Dry Grad Committee.

Primetime Wrestling has built a reputation across Northern British Columbia not only for its exciting live events, but also for its commitment to community fundraising. Through its shows and partnerships with local groups, the promotion has now helped raise more than $50,000 for community organizations and charities.

One of the most compelling stories heading into the Prince George events is the return of Charles Brown, a talented young competitor who has spent the past two years largely sidelined while dealing with unexplained neurological challenges that have caused epileptic-type symptoms.

Despite the setbacks, Brown has remained determined to return to the ring. A product of the same training environment as John Gillespie and Edward Wild III—both now competing for championship titles across the Pacific Northwest—Brown is eager to prove he belongs among the next generation of top talent.

“The last couple of years have been one of the toughest fights of my life,” said Brown. “There were times when it would have been easy to walk away, but that’s not who I am. I’m not giving up on my dream. I’m coming back stronger, and I’m ready to work my way to the top.”

Brown will have a major opportunity to do just that as he competes for the newly vacated Primetime VIP Championship during the weekend’s VIP match.

The Prince George shows will also feature an international showdown as Mexican lucha libre wrestler Santania faces Prince George fan-favourite Vicky Vicious in what promises to be a fast-paced and explosive contest.

In championship action, Primetime Heavyweight Champion Andy Anderson will defend his title against Scotty Mac, a highly decorated professional wrestling veteran making his Primetime debut.

Tag team gold will also be on the line as fan-favourite champions The Caribroozers defend their Primetime Tag Team Championships against the newly formed and dangerous duo Midnight Vice.

With championship matches, international talent, and powerful comeback stories all on the card, the March 13 and 14 events promise two unforgettable nights of live professional wrestling for Prince George fans.

Tickets are available locally at Scrapbook Zone and 3 Goblin Games, or online at ticketseller.ca.

Fans are encouraged to purchase early as both nights are expected to draw strong crowds in support of the Dry Grad fundraiser.
