BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute brings Mini Med School to Prince George

For the first time, BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute’s (BCCHR) travelling Mini Med School program is coming to Prince George.

Mini Med School is a health science outreach program designed for high school students to explore the world of health sciences, career opportunities in the field, and connections with world-class researchers and health experts.

Attendance is free, but spots are limited. Registration for Mini Med School will opened on February 17 and will close once all spots are filled. Grades 10–12 students in Northern BC can register to benefit from this unique opportunity.

“With Mini Med School, we hope to inform and inspire the next generation of pediatric researchers and health-care professionals in BC. An early exposure to health sciences can show high school students that becoming physicians and researchers is exciting yet attainable and definitely worth exploring,” said Dr. Quynh Doan, senior executive director and associate dean, research at BCCHR and professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of British Columbia
