Get ready for fun at Downtown Winterfest

Downtown Prince George invites the community to celebrate winter, family, and love at Winterfest, happening Saturday, February 14, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Civic Centre and Plaza.

Taking place on Valentine’s Day and kicking off the Family Day long weekend, Winterfest offers a full day of fun for all ages, with something for everyone to enjoy in downtown Prince George.

This year’s Winterfest will feature:
• 30+ local vendors
• A S’mores Contest
• Live music
• Outdoor skating with free skate rentals
• The popular mini rail
• A festive Valentine’s Day balloon arch for photo opportunities
• And so much more!

The celebration extends beyond the plaza. The Downtown Markets will be open starting at 8:30 a.m., and the Prince George Legion will be hosting a pancake breakfast, making it easy to spend the entire day downtown. Don’t forget to make reservations at your favourite downtown restaurant and stay for dinner.

“Winterfest is a great way to bring people together during the winter months and celebrate everything Northern winters have to offer,” said Chrisie Berry, Executive Director for Downtown Prince George. “With Valentine’s Day, the Family Day long weekend, and so many activities happening throughout downtown, February 14 is the perfect day to come out and support local.”
