School district developing new strategic plan

School District 57 Board of Education is launching the development of a new Strategic Plan for 2026– 2031, a five-year roadmap that will guide the district’s priorities, decisions, and investments in student learning and well-being.

At the core of this work is a clear commitment: building a strong, inclusive, and responsive educational community where every student can succeed. The Strategic Plan will set the direction for how the district supports students, staff, families, and schools in a rapidly changing educational landscape.

Community Engagement at the Centre

Meaningful input from the community will be central to the development of the plan. Over the coming months, students, staff, parents and caregivers, partners, rights holders and members of the broader SD57 community will be invited to share their perspectives on what matters most for the district’s future.

SD57 community feedback will directly inform the priorities and goals of the Strategic Plan, ensuring it reflects local values, lived experience, and shared aspirations.

To support this work, the district has partnered with Roots & Rivers Consulting, experts in school district strategic planning and community engagement.

What’s Next

Opportunities to participate will be shared in the weeks ahead, including online engagements through a variety of methodologies. The Board of Education encourages all members of the SD57 community to participate in shaping the direction of the district for the next five years.

More information about engagement opportunities will be communicated through district channels as the process moves forward.
