On December 3 at approximately 3 a.m., fire crews from three halls responded to a structure fire in the 1700 block of Ninth Avenue.
Upon arrival, crews found a single-family dwelling with heavy flames and smoke issuing from the back side of the building. The building was unoccupied at the time. Quick work knocked the fire down and prevented it from spreading to the neighbour’s house. The neighbours were briefly evacuated from their residents due to an abundance of caution.
There were no injuries reported. Damage is estimated at $200,000 and the fire is currently under investigation.
