Jonathan Peter’s presentation will have an emphasis on recent battery electric vehicle technology and innovation that have occurred in China. Jonathan Peter, a Canadian from Winnipeg Manitoba and later Victoria British Columbia, spent most of his life as a specialist in the energy, oil & gas industry. Since 2001, Jonathan has accumulated ten years in China working with China’s state-owned enterprises, was stationed in Milan Italy working for Shell International and spent three years as the Practice Director for IBM’s Industry Center of Excellence in London United Kingdom. In the 80’s and 90’s Jonathan worked on robotics and tanker truck loading systems in Melbourne Australia, and at Robotics Systems International in Victoria British Columbia. For the past eight years Jonathan has been living and working in China, where he has an English school.

The Energy Transition Group was formed by individuals from the University of Northern BC (UNBC) and the Prince George Electric Vehicle Association (PG EVA) to encourage informative discussions with guest experts to reveal many of the neat, interesting, intertwined and complicated issues which are occurring with the ongoing energy transition.
