Over three decades ago, CBIG began with one advisor, one office, and one simple belief: that financial advice should be personal, trusted, and built on real relationships. Today, CBIG has grown into a national team serving clients across Canada, but its roots remain firmly planted in Prince George, where the company first opened its doors 31 years ago.
“Prince George is where it all started,” said founder and CEO, Pete Tiani. “Our community has shaped who we are: hardworking, down-to-earth, and committed to doing what’s right for our clients. We’re proud to have grown nationally, but we’ve never forgotten where home is.”
CBIG, which stands for Canadian Benefits, Investments & Group Insurance, has built a reputation for helping Canadians ‘See-Big’ about their future, whether planning for retirement, protecting their family, or growing their business. “We’ve always believed that big opportunities don’t just come from big cities, they can grow right here in the North,” said Tiani. “Over the past 31 years, we’ve seen our community weather its share of economic ups and downs, and we’ve witnessed Prince George’s resilience and strength through it all. We’re proud to call this our home.” From its beginnings in northern BC, CBIG has grown to seven offices across the country, with a team of 90 employees serving clients in every region.
While the city’s business community has faced challenges over the past year, CBIG remains optimistic about Prince George’s strength. “Like many long-standing businesses here, we’ve felt those impacts too,” said Tiani. “That’s why it’s so important to keep showing up for each other.”
“Our anniversary isn’t just a milestone for us,” said Tiani. “It’s a celebration of our clients, our staff, and this incredible community who’ve trusted us along the way.”
