The event will be hosted at the Pacific Western Brewing Party Lot (641 North Nechako Road) and promises a festival-style atmosphere with a giant LED video screen, a $5 drink bar, food vendors, live music, games, prizes, and community spirit at its finest.

Event Schedule:

  • Game 5: Saturday, June 14 — Gates open at 3:30pm; game starts at 5:00pm o Featuring live music from The Chris Goodwin Band from 3:30 to 5:00pm

One hundred per cent of proceeds will support the Prince George Hospice and Palliative Care Society, providing essential endof-life care to families in the community. Entry is free — donations at the gate are encouraged.

“We are incredibly grateful to be part of this event,” said Donna Flood, Executive Director of the Prince George Hospice and Palliative Care Society. “Prince George has always been a place where community comes together to support each other, and this Watch Party is a testament to that spirit. Every dollar raised will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those receiving hospice care, in particular with our Hospice at Home program where the dollars raised will go to support” She added, “This event is going to be so much fun, and I know our team is excited to see everyone come together. Bringing all these moving parts together on such short notice has been a big feat, but I hope the community comes out to enjoy it. We can’t wait to see everyone there!”

The event originated as a spontaneous idea from Kyle Sampson, Manager, Northern BC at Pacific Western Brewing, who was inspired by the community’s enthusiasm to bring it to life.

“The idea came to me on a whim late Friday night, and I put out a quick social post just to test the waters — I was blown away by how fast and excitedly people expressed support,” said Sampson. “The interest from local businesses and community members was immediate. It’s been incredible to watch this come together so quickly and to see so many local sponsors step up to make it happen. This event is a true win-win-win: the community gets to celebrate together, hospice receives vital support, and the sponsors of the event, get welldeserved recognition for their generosity and commitment to our community. And let me be clear — the sponsors of this event are the real heroes. Every business that stepped up with just one day’s notice did so because they believe in two things: creating fun opportunities for people to come together and giving back wherever possible. We’re going to have fun — and Hospice is going to get the support it needs, and it’s all thanks to the incredible sponsors!”

Pacific Western Brewing, a Prince George hometown brewery since 1957, is proud to be the presenting partner.

“At PWB, we’re always looking for opportunities to have some fun while doing good in our community,” said Sampson. “I sure am proud to work at such a community focused business. The fact that we get to partner with both Hospice, and so many other incredible local businesses to bring this to life — I can speak on behalf of our whole team when I say we’re truly proud to be part of this. Our owner, Taizan Komatsu, is committed to our hometown and investing where we do business — this is a great opportunity to show that commitment in action. From our Plant Manager Cindy, all the way across our organization, we are all looking forward to hosting this event at our PWB Party Lot!”

Sponsors who made this event possible include:

SparkGeo, Pine Ridge Modular, Integris Credit Union, Aaron Switzer Real Estate, Vitreo Minerals, KOPAR,

Canadian Tire, and Pacific Western Brewing — with additional support from Save-On-Foods, Sunbelt Rentals, PG Rental Centre, and media partners: Country 97fm, 94.3 The Goat, 101.3 The River, 99.3 Rewind Radio, and CKPG TV.

“This event simply wouldn’t be possible without the incredible generosity and rapid response of these local businesses,” added Flood. “They stepped up without hesitation, and we’re excited to celebrate as we cheer on Canada’s team together!”
