Wrestlers launch the Fight Hunger Food Drive

In Prince George, wrestling fans and community organizations have come to recognize that Primetime Wrestling is a champion for local causes and campaigns. So when they learned that the Quesnel foodbank had burned down, they have sprung into action.

Over the past two years, Davy Greenlees and Stuart Brown have coordinated more than $30,000 in charitable donations in Prince George through their wrestling events held at the House of Ancestors and now the Prince George Civic Centre. Their affection for the north is apparent in all that they do.

“We don’t present matches in Quesnel, but some of our wrestlers live there and we feel that this is the type of disaster that calls upon us to be a good neighbour,” said Primetime Wrestling CEO Davy Greenlees. “We are organizing a food drive through our ticket outlets and our live events in the coming weeks to help replenish the supplies and ensure that families in need don’t go without.”

Food donations can be dropped off at Scrapbook Zone, J & A Stereo Plus, and the GOAT radio station. Primetime will also be accepting food donations at their next matches at the Prince George Civic Centre on May 16 and May 17 with an opportunity to win some exclusive prizes for their fans that donate. All food and donations collected will be delivered on May 21.

On May 17, Quesnel’s Rebel Knoxville and partner Donnie Brooks are scheduled to challenge for the Primetime tag team titles against the winner of the championship fight the night before. It is expected that Knoxville will have a little extra motivation to bring home the gold in this title fight.

Advance tickets are available at Scrapbook Zone, and more event information can be found on Primetime Wrestling’s social channels.
