Uride, a Canadian rideshare company operating right here in Prince George, is stepping up to support local voter turnout by offering free rides (up to $5) to and from polling stations this Election Day.
“There’s a lot going on in Canada right now, and we want to make sure all Canadians have a chance to have their voice heard,” said Cody Ruberto, Founder and CEO of Uride, in a news release. “Voting is one of the most important ways to do that. Whether someone doesn’t have access to a car, is on a tight budget, or just needs help – we want to help make voting as easy and accessible as possible.”
Transportation is one of the top reasons eligible voters don’t make it to the polls – especially among younger voters, seniors, and lower-income groups. Uride’s goal is to eliminate that obstacle and help Prince George residents take part in shaping their future.

“At our core, we’re not just a tech company – we’re a people company,” Cody added. “And this Election Day, we’re proud to be helping Canadians show up for each other, and for their future.”
Uride has built a reputation for supporting local initiatives, and every month a portion of all rides go towards supporting the community. If anyone needs assistance using the app or getting a ride, they can email support@uridetech.com for help.
