Prince George Potters’ Guild presents Table Talk

Marie-Eve Lavoie. Deermouse And Wild Strawberries, 2025, Ceramic.

The Prince George Potters’ Guild presents Table Talk April 25 to June 8.

We exist in a world where everything about our daily lives tells a story about who we are as people, along with our personal cultures and histories. The way we move throughout our lives is shaped by important subjects and the many ways we speak on and bring awareness to these topics, even via the seemingly mundane. With the members of the Prince George Potters’ Guild, whose pieces have been carefully chosen for display, we are welcomed to a new way of raising awareness to pressing matters.

Table Talk invites us to the dinner table, set with dinnerware hand-sculpted by artists that live to tell a story through their craft. With each unique piece, we are drawn in to hear the quiet words that lay beyond the ceramic. Not only will each artwork tell us about the artist that made them, but perhaps a deeper tale that onlookers can immerse themselves in. Join us at these “tables” and see what a dinner plate or a coffee mug might have to say about the world we live in and more. Prince George Potters’ Guild has carefully selected the pieces pertaining to this exhibition, submitted by their devoted members: Natalie Brekkaas, Michelle Biden, Karen Heathman, Marie-Eve Lavoie, Joanne Mikkelsen, Jim Rawlings.
