Spruce Kings commit to Dominic Szczygiel

The Prince George Spruce Kings have announced the commitment of 2007 born forward Dominic Szczygiel for the 2025-2026 season.

Szczygiel is 5’11, 161-pounds from Avenel, NJ who has spent the last three seasons with the Christian Brothers Academy and New Jersey Rockets AAA program.

Playing in the High School League in New Jersey, Dom put up 50 goals and 83 assists over three seasons. He also contributed 9 goals and 14 assists during the Tier 1 Hockey Federation seasons with the Rockets. During his 16U AAA season in 2023-2024, he had 25 goals and 39 assists for 64 points.

Spruce Kings General Manager Mike Hawes: “Dominic is a skilled forward who can contribute in all areas. He’s a very good 200 foot player. We’re excited to add him to our group next season.”

The Spruce Kings return to the ice Sunday March 16 at 3 p.m. against the Sherwood Park Crusaders at Kopar Memorial Arena. It’s Fan Appreciation Day with $13 Adults, $10 Seniors, and $5 Youth Tickets to go along with $2.00 popcorn and a post-game skate with the Spruce Kings.
