The City of Prince George, in partnership with several key business support organizations, is launching the Support PG Business Survey, to gather insights from local businesses. The survey will remain open until March 31, 2025.
This collaborative initiative includes the Prince George Chamber of Commerce, Community Futures Fraser-Fort George, BC Northern Real Estate Board, Downtown Prince George, Tourism Prince George, CHBA Northern BC, and the Northern Regional Construction Association. The goal is to better understand the needs of local businesses, identify challenges and opportunities, and ensure that appropriate support is available to help businesses succeed.
Why your input matters
Business owners and operators are encouraged to participate in the survey to:
- Share insights into their business challenges, opportunities, and support needs.
- Connect directly with available business support resources.
- Help business support agencies better understand the broader business landscape in Prince George and the region.
All responses will be kept strictly confidential and presented only in aggregate. The City of Prince George and its partners will follow up with businesses to share survey results, provide relevant resources, and identify any gaps in support.
“Understanding the needs of our business community is vital to ensuring we provide the right support,” said Manager of Economic Development Deklan Corstanje. “We encourage all local business owners and operators to take a few minutes to complete the survey and help us create a stronger business environment in Prince George.”
Executive Director of Downtown Prince George, Colleen Van Mook, said many business owners are worried about the potential US tariffs.
“With this survey, we really want to learn exactly how these tariffs might affect them and begin a conversation at a local level. Ultimately, we hope to find solutions that specifically work for Prince George,” she said.
Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce, Neil Godbout, said this survey is another example of organizations working together to support businesses.
“We saw this recently with the successful B2B Expo which was a collaboration, and we want to keep going with that momentum. When we work together to support our businesses, we can achieve good things. Gathering feedback around what specific concerns and supports are needed is incredibly important,” he said.
The survey will be sent to businesses from the participating organizations. For more information, or if you need access the survey, please contact ecdev@princegeorge.ca.
