The School District 57 board is proceeding with closure of the Central Interior Distance Education School (CIDES) effective June 30, 2025.
Students registered as of March 31, 2025 will be supported by program staff until January 31, 2026. The decision to close the program was based on course access, staffing shortages and financial considerations. Students will continue to have access to the on-line courses they need through other provincial programs.
