The Exploration Place has partnered with BC Bob Kronbauer, one of British Columbia’s most popular content creators, for a limited-time fundraiser featuring exclusive merch inspired by Mr. PG, The Exploration Place, Prince George, and Loki the Magpie.
BC Bob, known for his engaging storytelling about B.C. history and fun facts, has built a dedicated following of 150,000 on TikTok and 85,000 on YouTube, where he shares fun stories about the province’s past and present. He also hosts a new show, “Now You Know BC” on CHEK. His content highlights the quirky, unexpected, and iconic elements of BC. He’s referred to The Exploration Place as his favourite charity in Prince George, and wanted to do something to help support Northern BC’s museum.
The exclusive merchandise collection includes hoodies, crewneck sweatshirts, t-shirts, toques, tote bags, and a limited-edition Mr. PG neon sign, complete with a great backstory. All merchandise is from BC companies.
“This is such a great partnership—BC Bob has an incredible reach,” said Robyn Curtis, Manager of Development at The Exploration Place. “All net proceeds will support the museum, and people don’t always realize we’re an independent, non-profit charity. So, you’re not only getting some amazing PG swag, you’re also supporting a great cause in our community.”
During his visit, Bob also took the opportunity to explore the museum and create a series of videos showcasing the museum’s collections, sharing its stories not only with Prince George residents but with viewers across the province and beyond.
The merchandise is available for presale only until February 19, with all net proceeds supporting The Exploration Place in its efforts to promote science education, community engagement, and the preservation of Northern BC history. The fundraiser offers a unique opportunity for supporters to own limited-edition Prince George-inspired merchandise while contributing to the museum’s ongoing work.
