BC Prosecution Services has approved charges in connection to a shooting that sent one person to hospital in Fort Nelson on January 29, 2025.
Jarrod Bacon, 41 years old, has been charged with aggravated assault in connection with the shooting. John Chasse, 41 years old, has been charged with assault relating to the same circumstances. Both men have been remanded in custody.
The two were arrested in relation to a shooting incident in front of a local business in the area of 5000 block of 51st Avenue West in Fort Nelson on the evening of January 29, 2025.
The suspects were identified in the targeted incident. In the evening of January 31, 2025, one of the suspects was arrested following a traffic stop.
Later that evening, a search warrant was executed at a residence in the 4600 block of 49th Avenue in Fort Nelson by the North District RCMP Emergency Response Team. The was arrested in connection to the shooting.
Bacon is one of the notorious Bacon Brothers, that has been in and out of the news for years in B.C. Jamie Bacon was sentenced to 18 years in jail for his part in the Surrey Six killings. Jonathan Bacon was killed in a gangland shooting outside a Kelowna casino in 2011.
