Small and home-based business owners, along with aspiring entrepreneurs and community partners, are encouraged to register for the remaining spots at the upcoming B2B Expo in Prince George.
A partnership between Community Futures Fraser Fort George, the Prince George Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Prince George, the Business to Business (B2B) Expo will feature exhibitors, networking sessions, and learning workshops at the Prince George Conference and Civic Centre on Feb. 14 and 15.
“This is a new way for both established operations and emerging entrepreneurs to connect with each other and to the support organizations that can help them grown and sustain their businesses,” Anna Duff, General Manager of Community Futures Fraser Fort George, said. “We’re already seeing a lot of business-support organizations committing to attending, so this provides a unique opportunity for businesses and future entrepreneurs to connect one-on-one with these supports during this dedicated time.”
The B2B Expo will open with a networking gathering on the afternoon of Friday, Feb. 14, followed by learning meetings on the morning of Saturday, Feb. 15. The B2B Expo will ends with a public session from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday to provide the participating businesses the opportunity to showcase their goods and services to local residents.
“Registration is open on the Community Futures website and we’re encouraging our members to join us and Integris Credit Union, the Presenting and Insurance Sponsor for the B2B Expo, to bring local business people closer together to explore opportunities and overcome challenges,” Neil Godbout, Executive Director of the Prince George Chamber of Commerce, said.
The B2B Expo was developed in response to the growing demand for networking and collaboration among small and medium-sized businesses across the region. This event aims to:
- strengthen the local business community;
- foster new partnerships;
- share information about resources;
- drive economic growth for Prince George and the region;
- and create platforms that facilitate connections, and serve as a springboard for ongoing collaboration between business, with particular support to potential industry clusters that could develop to better serve business in the region.
