The Prince George Humane Society’s Tails of Triumph fundraiser, an inspiring month-long initiative dedicated to helping and providing second chances at life for vulnerable animals in Prince George and the surrounding region, winds up tomorrow.
This major fundraiser will come to end with an exciting celebratory event at the society’s Adoption and Humane Education Centre at Unit 11- 1839 First Avenue from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This day will see local difference-makers stop by at various times, all striving towards the collective goal of raising $40,000 by reaching out to their network of contacts for donations.
“At the PG Humane Society, we strive to create a brighter future for animals in need. This fundraiser is not just about raising funds but also about building a community that continues to care deeply about animal welfare,” said Angela McLaren, Executive Director of the PG Humane Society. “We’re excited to bring together animal lovers and advocates to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable animals.”
In the past year, the PG Humane Society has faced a significant increase in animal surrenders while donations have hit a record low. Rising operational costs — especially for veterinary care — have added strain to the charity’s resources, making this fundraiser more critical than ever.
“Veterinary care is essential to ensuring the health and well-being of the animals we rescue, and your support will help provide them with the medical attention they need. Now more than ever, we need the community’s help to continue our life-saving work,” said McLaren.
The Tails of Triumph fundraiser will be a fundraiser of compassion and celebration, featuring:

Two title s ponsors have stepped up to provide the Tails of Triumph fundraiser with an initial boost of momentum. Selen Alpay (Canadian Tire) and John A. Brink (Brink Group of Companies)have both signed on as major supporters.
“An amazing local charity organization like the PG Humane Society deserves the community’s support,” said Brink. “It’s critically important for animal lovers throughout Prince George and the region to do what they can to help animals in need by donating to this fundraising campaign.”
“On behalf of the entire team at Canadian Tire, it is an honour to support the Tails of Triumph fundraiser and the PG Humane Society. Animal welfare is something we should all support as a community and the PG Humane Society continues to advocate for those without a voice,” said Alpay.
