Remember the joy of sliding down a snow-covered hill, crafting the perfect snow angel, or being mesmerized by the delicate dance of snowflakes in the air? This winter, you’re invited to relive that magic just as this father-daughter duo does over their shared love for fat biking amidst the enchanting winter landscape of Prince George.
“I take her on as many adventures as possible. It allows me to be a kid with her,” said Gino Nava.
In Tourism Prince George’s new PG highlight video, produced by filmmakers 6ixSigma, this local father and daughter navigate the breathtaking trails of Forests for the World, showcasing not just the thrill of winter sports, but the profound connections that can spring from shared adventures. Each ride becomes a unique memory, etched in the crisp winter air, reminding us of the simple pleasures of winter that evoke our childhood memories.
“Fatbiking is a market that is still relatively untapped but has huge potential in enticing tourists to visit our community. Tourism Prince George plans on showcasing this memorable video through a variety of initiatives to attract visitors for our outdoor recreation activities, particularly during traditionally slower visitation periods,” said Colin Carson, CEO Tourism Prince George.
“The fresh air and sun makes me feel happy. I feel like I’m stronger than I was, it makes me feel like I can do this,” said Gino’s daughter Matteia.
This touching story is a call to rekindle our appreciation for winter as an opportunity to connect, be well, explore, and create lasting memories with those we love.
“No matter how hard life gets you can always clear your head and go live an adventure and find comfort, peace, serenity, and calmness,” said Gino.
Whether you’re riding the trails or sharing laughter over a hot chocolate, it’s the shared moments and the bonds they forge that truly make the season special. We hope you embrace our Prince George winter and create your own special memories throughout the season.
