Police seek public’s help in identifying two men in firearms investigation

Prince George RCMP are renewing their investigation into a firearms incident from August 2024 and is reaching out to the public to assist in identifying two men. The investigation began shortly after 6 p.m. on August 23, 2024, when police received a report of shots being fired near the 1700-block of Upland Street. Shortly thereafter, two men were seen walking through the area and one of them was carrying a firearm. The men were last seen near the housing complex on the corner of 17 Avenue and Massey Drive.

“Police officers are looking to speak to these two individuals in relation to this investigation. We are hoping that someone in Prince George will recognize them and let our investigators know who they are and where they are currently residing,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

The first person is described as a tall, Indigenous man wearing a long-sleeved red sweatshirt, black ball cap and blue jeans.

The second person is described as a shorter, heavy set Indigenous man wearing a black Metal Mulisha hoody and black shorts.
