The Chillwack Chiefs scored two goals in the final 3:27 to take a 3-2 victory Saturday night at the Chilliwack Coliseum.
Lucas Sorace got the Chiefs on the board just 3:40 into the opening frame with a short-handed marker, receiving a pass from Mateo Mrsic, and beating Ryder Green up high to open the scoring.
The Spruce Kings would be rewarded later in the period as Skogen Schrott saw a puck come loose in the right circle and he beat Sebastian Gatto to tie the game at one after 20 minutes.
In the second period, the lone goal belonged to the Spruce Kings as Brogan McNeil picked up the marker on the power play, as the point shot from Schrott hit McNeil, but he put the loose puck home.
Prince George was holding on to the 2-1 lead throughout the third period, until a turnover on a late power play gave Nathan Morin a breakaway and slid the puck around Green to tie the game.
In the final minute, Mrsic skated around the top of the zone and his wrist shot went under the crossbar to give the Chiefs their game winner with 23.3 seconds remaining.
