Canadian alt-pop artist, Elena Erin, re-evaluates romance and relationships on new track: “Only Kink I Haven’t Tried”

Crafting a distinct sound that seamlessly fuses elements of alternative, electronic, and dance music, Canadian Alt-Pop artist Elena Erin has carved out a musical space all her own. From her small-town roots in northern British Columbia, the Berklee College of Music alumnus soared to #2 on the CBC Top 20 with her track “Build A Ship”, racking up over four million streams across platforms.

Her fall 2024 single, “Sick Rick Girl” gained traction across Canada on campus and non-commercial radio, and led to a live musical performance on the YourTV Network. Frequently compared to the likes of Billie Eilish, Halsey, Gwen Stefani, and Cyndi Lauper, Elena Erin combines clever storytelling with a meticulously designed sonic backdrop. Discovered by New York City based music producers who kept her demo vocals on a song originally meant for another artist, Elena Erin found her true artistic path, narrating her journey from small-town life to the heights of the New York elite.

Her extraordinary, almost cinematic life experiences translate into universally relatable music, showcasing her remarkable songwriting talent. As she prepares to release her Great Gatsby inspired third studio album, Roaring 20s, in early 2025, Elena Erin shares “Only Kink I Haven’t Tried”, an atmospherically soft yet gritty song that reevaluates one’s relationship with the concept of love. Re-imagining relationships in the fast-paced and social media focused dating scene today, Elena Erin’s latest track explores the idea of trying something new – focusing on one person, and will be released on Friday, November 8 2024.

Written by  Elena Erin and both produced and engineered by Pablo San Martin (Nile Rodgers), “Only Kink I Haven’t Tried” was mastered by Grammy, Latin Grammy, and Diamond certified mastering engineer, Alex Psaroudakis.
