Israeli husband and wife speaking duo to visit Prince George

Adi Bedein

The Jewish Community of Prince George and the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver are presenting a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Prince George residents to attend a presentation on September 29, by two of Israel’s most sought-after public speakers.

Noam and Adi Bedein are authors, speakers and journalists and are currently on a speaking tour of the Pacific Northwest.

The title of the event is “A Journey of Healing: From Holocaust Remembrance to Environmental Renewal” and will include two presentations with an intermission, and Q&A sessions. The topics will be:

  1. Courage and Memory: Bridging Holocaust Education with the Commemoration of October 7th. This presentation will include a 360-degree tour of The Car Wall, which is a pile of burnt cars west of the Tkuma in the Gaza envelope, resembling the shape of a wall. Originally, this pile was created by evacuating the burnt cars from the Gaza envelope after the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, and the massacre at the Nova Festival in particular, from where most of the cars came. Later, the wall of burnt cars became a memorial to the massacre, which was the largest terrorist attack in the history of the State of Israel. This presentation will be led by Adi Rabinowitz Bedein, who is a certified tour guide at Yad Vashem – The World Holocaust Remembrance Center, in Jerusalem.
  2. Environmental Resilience: The Innovative Path to Healing Israel’s Society and Nature’s Treasures. Discover how Israel’s water resources can inspire innovative, sustainable tourism that fosters social resilience and post-traumatic healing while protecting and revitalizing Israel’s natural environment. This presentation will be led by Noam Bedein, who has dedicated his career to documenting the restoration of historic water sources, promoting ecotourism, and strengthening the Abraham Accords for water and marine conservation.
