Spruce Kings fall 3-2 to Rivermen

The Prince George Spruce Kings dropped a 3-2 decision to the Langley Rivermen on Friday night at Kopar Memorial Arena.

Linden Makow got the Spruce Kings on the board just 1:03 into the opening frame, beating Bodee Weiss in tight on the glove hand side.  Lucas Veilleux and Kazumo Sasaki drew the assists.

The Rivermen would respond at 9:22 as Luke Pfoh finished a 2 on 1 with Tyler Chan. The play started in the defensive zone as Ty Creech picked up the puck on a turnover and sent it forward.

Pfoh would get his second goal of the night at 8:03 of the second period, finishing off a 2 on 1 similar to his opening goal. Ryder McIntosh picked up the assist.

The Spruce Kings tied the game up at 2-2 with 1:00 left in the 2nd period as Skogen Schrott one-timed the puck past Weiss on the man advantage. Evan Bellamy and Ryan Wachtel picked up the assists.

Just 39 seconds later, the Rivermen would get a bounce off of a Spruce Kings defender as Creech picked up the credit for the marker off his point shot, with Mason Kesselring and Adyn Merrick drawing the assists.

Final Shots on goal were 32-17 in favour of Langley.
