When Primetime Wrestling Commissioner Davy Greenlees promises the fans of Prince George that a wrestler will appear in local rings, he’s not satisfied to fall back on the time old “the card is subject to change” as an explanation to his ticket buyers. No, he gets on the phone and he makes deals happen.
Such was the case this week when he learned that “Mr. Beefy Goodness” Vance Nevada, scheduled to appear alongside his tag team partner “God of Thunder” Andy Anderson, is currently in China as part of a three-week campaign of the far east.
“Love him or hate him, Vance Nevada has been a fixture of Primetime Wrestling from the beginning”, explains Davy. “The fans expect us to deliver on what we have advertised and Nevada and Anderson are slated to defend their Primetime tag team championship this Saturday night. That match WILL happen.”
Davy was on the phone with tour organizers in China, which includes twelve cities in seventeen days, wrapping up in Shenzhen, China on Thursday. Through a bit of maneuvering, Greenlees confirmed flights that will deliver Nevada to Prince George on time to compete both nights – including the Friday night VIP segment for enhanced ticket holders.
“When Prince George wrestling fans are going to put down their hard earned money to get a ticket to one of our events, we’re going to do whatever it takes to deliver on everything we’ve advertised”, explains Greenlees. “The fans don’t love Vance, but they sure would love to see him get beaten inside that ring. I won’t deprive them of that. Come to think of it, I’d kinda like to see that too.”
