Several wildfires between Prince George and McBride

Following a lightning event overnight on July 9, the Prince George Fire Centre has seen an increase in new starts in the southeast portion of the Prince George zone and west of McBride in the northern end of the Robson Valley zone.
 
The BC Wildfire Service is responding to multiple incidents along the Highway 16 corridor between Prince George and McBride, travellers should be aware of an increase in visible smoke in the area.
 
There are no current or anticipated impacts to the highway, however travellers are encouraged to check www.DriveBC.ca before departing as conditions may change rapidly.
