There is no change to the status of the Parker Lake fire (G90267), which remains Under Control. With the increase in fire behaviour, unburned areas within the fire perimeter will produce more smoke in the coming days. However, smoke from outside of the fire’s perimeter should be reported to 1 800 663-5555 toll free, *5555 on a cell phone, or through the BC Wildfire Service mobile app.
Today (July 5), 227 ground personnel have been assigned to the North Peace Complex, as well as 23 helicopters and 2 pieces of heavy equipment. Crews are continuing response efforts in priority areas on the Patry Creek (G90207), Parker Lake (G90267), and Nogah Creek (G90228) wildfires. Crews are also responding to two new fires (G90637 and G90645) that started north of Patry Creek on June 30. G90637 is considered Being Held and G90645 is Under Control. Both fires are suspected to be lightning caused.
