The College of New Caledonia (CNC) is hosting a pop-up event for CNC students and employees on Tuesday, June 18 to celebrate the history, courage, and diversity of the 2SLGTBQIA+ community.
The “We Wear Our Pride” pop-up event – facilitated by CNC’s Student Union (CNCSU) and Health & Wellness team – will take place as follows:
When: Tuesday, June 18 from 11.00 am – 1.00 pm
Where: Gathering Place at the Prince George campus (3330 22nd Avenue – main entrance)
What: different recreational and educational activities, including:
· “Empower and Power” campaign launch by CNCSU to bring year-round visibility to the 2SLGTBQIA+ community and mental health awareness
· Lunch and Learn with Dr. Bill Gottschall, Sociology instructor
· Booths by local partner organizations, including Positive Living North and the Prince George Sexual Assault Centre, showcasing Pride history and resources for the 2SLGTBQIA+ community
· Pride Jeopardy & Consent Jenga
· Face painting
· Photo booths
· Button making
