Search warrant at Nicholson Street residence results in arrests and seizure of drugs and replica firearms

On Monday, May 27, Prince George RCMP officers executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence on the 300-block of Nicholson Street.

One person at the residence was arrested on multiple outstanding warrants and was held in custody until he could attend court. He was subsequently released back to the community on a release order with conditions.

Two more people were arrested and later released without process, as any potential charges related to the drugs seized are pending further laboratory analysis and are subject to approval by the Public Prosecution Service of Canada.

Investigators seized approximately 50 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 60 grams of suspected fentanyl, four replica firearms, ammunition, $2000 in cash and other drug trafficking paraphernalia from inside the residence.

This represents significant enforcement action taken against those trafficking drugs in our community. It was the second time in May that a search warrant was executed at this residence in relation to suspected criminal behaviour, states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

This investigation remains ongoing.
