Man stabbed several times; injuries not life-threatening

On Saturday, May 25, just after 11 p.m., Prince George RCMP received multiple reports of people fighting in the parking lot near the 1400-block of Ahbau Street. When police officers arrived at the location, they located one man who had been stabbed several times. The victim was transported to the hospital where he received treatment for his serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

With the assistance of a Police Dog Services unit one suspect was located a short distance away; he was arrested on an outstanding warrant and transported to the Prince George RCMP Detachment where he was later released without process. There is one suspect outstanding.

“Police officers have identified a person of interest in this investigation, whose image was taken from the surveillance at a nearby business,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP. “We are requesting that anyone who recognizes the man in the photo contact an investigator by calling the Prince George RCMP non-emergency line. Investigators would like to speak with this individual as he may have information relating to this investigation.”

Police officers are extending their thanks to all of the businesses who have assisted in this investigation by providing available video surveillance.
