Fire damages home on Anderson Street

At approximately 5:50 a.m. on April 19, Prince George Fire Rescue crews from three firehalls responded to a confirmed structure fire in the 100 block of Anderson Street.

Upon arrival, fire crews were met with very heavy smoke from all sides, and flame from one large window.

Fire crews extinguished the fire very quickly, minimizing damage to the structure. Damage is estimated at $100,000. Neighbouring homes were not affected by the fire.

There were no injuries to fire crews or residents. Displaced residents are being assisted by emergency social services (ESS).

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
