The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George has approved a one year extension to an agriculture plastics recycling pilot project in McBride. From 2021 to 2023, the regional district partnered with Cleanfarms for a pilot program in McBride to collect and recycle end-of-life bale wrap, silage tarp and baler twine. To date, more than 12,200 kgs of grain bags and twine have been collected. The cost of the extension is $40,485.
