At approximately 4 a.m. on April 9, 2024, Prince George Fire Rescue responded to a commercial structure fire in the 1300 block of Fifth avenue.
Upon arrival, crews found smoke and flame coming from the alley behind a multi-unit commercial occupancy. Crews worked for four hours to contain the fire to the unit of origin. No occupants were in the building at the time of the fire.
Fire damage is estimated at $150,000. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
There were no injuries to either firefighters or bystanders.
