Laughter Is Medicine – comedy comes to Two Rivers Gallery

Ticia Aksidan (Auntie Tic)

Two Rivers Gallery is excited to present Laughter Is Medicine, in conjunction with its current exhibition Knock Knock: Art, Humour and Meaning.

Spearheading the evening is Ticia Aksidan (Auntie Tic) who is a member of the Gitxsan nation. Her ancestral home, Anspayaxw, also known as Kispiox, holds a special place in her heart. She has a passion to spread her good medicine through laughter, along with sharing her very own life experiences. She advocates for nurturing the resilience of Indigenous youth and embracing authenticity in all aspects of life.

Aksidan has brought together this exciting team of emerging comedians from around Prince George. Ticia and her comedic companions will bring their brand of Indigenous humour to the gallery for one night only.

Joining Aksidan on the bill will be Levi “Woodchop Ninja” Heathcliff, Tyler Laliberte

Two Rivers Gallery is thrilled to be able to cast a spotlight on this talented troupe and look forward to an evening of humour, music and big auntie laughs.

Tickets for the event are priced at $20 with limited availability. They can be purchased in person at Two Rivers Gallery. Doors open Saturday, April 6 at 7 p.m., and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. Please note that this is a 19+ event.
