Police looking to ID two suspects in armed robbery

Prince George RCMP are looking to the public for help in identifying two suspects from an armed robbery that occurred just before 7 a.m. on Friday, February 2 at a gas station on the 8000-block of the Hart Highway.

Two suspects entered the gas station and threatened the on-duty attendant at gunpoint, smashing a gun case and stealing several of the firearms stored within. They were seen leaving the store and getting into a waiting blue pickup truck, where the third suspect was waiting. Police identified the truck as one that was stolen earlier that morning from a nearby residence; it was located a short time later unoccupied and was seized as part of the investigation.

“While conducting patrols for the suspects, police officers located a man matching the description of one of the suspects sitting at a bus stop in the area,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP. “The man was arrested and found to be in possession of a shot gun. Police officers identified him as 41-year-old Brandon Michael Felix, who at the time was bound by two different lifetime firearms prohibitions.”

There are two suspects still outstanding in this investigation and police are releasing video surveillance of one of the suspects in the hopes that he can be identified. Police describe the man wearing a light-coloured grey jacket with no hood, a black balaclava hiding his nose and mouth, black gloves, dark pants and a dark shirt with red and white print on the front. The third suspect was not seen on video surveillance.

If anyone can identify this suspect or has information for police officers about this investigation, they can call the Prince George RCMP non-emergency line at 250-561-3300. Please quote file number 2024-3570.

Felix will remain in custody until his next court appearance. The investigation remains ongoing.
