The Prince George Spruce Kings came from behind to down the Cranbrook Buck 4-2 in front of 1,602 fans at Kopar Memorial Arena Saturday night.
Jacob Fletcher notched the only goal of the first period to give the Bucks a 1-0 lead after one. Bryce Sookro scored early in the second to give the visitors a 2-0 lead.
Then the Spruce Kings turned it up a notch and came roaring back. Skogen Schroot scored just over a minute after the Bucks went up by two to get the Spruce Kings on the board.
Then the third period belonged to the Spruce Kings as Scott Cousins tied the game halfway through the frame. Lucas Vielleux notched the winner at the 14:09 mark and Owen Goodbrand got the insurance goal into an empty net.
Charlie Zolin made 26 saves in net for the win. Carter Capton made 32 saves in a losing cause for the Bucks.
The Spruce Kings next see action Friday night when they travel to Salmon Arm to tangle with the Silverbacks.
