Trees downed on power lines seem to be the culprit in several power outages that has left thousands of Prince George residents in the dark this morning.
There are several outages around the city including:
- Downtown – 2,767 customers affected over five outages – with a tree down across wires affecting 1,737
- North Nechako – 1,377 customers affected – tree down across wires
- Hart Highlands – 1,100 customers affected over five outages – with a downed pole affecting 1,042 customers
- West of Heritage – 200 customers affected – under investigation
- Shady Valley – 195 customers affected – under investigation
- Northwest of Beaver Forest Road – 86 customers affected – tree down across wires
Hydro says it is working to restore power.
