Regional Hospital District 15-year financial plan approved

The Regional Hospital District Board has approved a 15-year financial plan which outlines the financial impacts of future
Northern Health funding requests on the Regional Hospital District.

Typically, Regional Hospital Districts contribute up to 40% towards capital expenditures for health facilities within their region. While exact costs of future requests, including the new patient care tower at University Hospital of Northern British Columbia (UHNBC) are unknown, they are expected to have significant impact on taxation levels in the region. The Regional Hospital District is exploring options to ensure that the financial impact for residents is sustainable.
