Mobile home and fifth-wheel trailer destroyed in early morning fire

At 2:15 a.m. on January 24, 2024, Prince George Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure fire on the 2100-block of Norwood Street. Two halls responded with four apparatus and eleven suppression personal.

The crews arrived on scene to find a fully involved single wide trailer. The fire had spread to a neighbouring fifth-wheel trailer that had been stored between the two units.

There was no one in the unit at the time of the fire. Damage was estimated to be $30,000 to $40,000; both the trailer and fifth-wheel were completely lost. There were no injuries to the public or fire personnel.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
