Tourism Prince George releases new video showing off city’s winter magic

The days seem shorter, and the nights longer—that only means one thing: winter is coming. And Tourism Prince George says, bring it on.

Today TPG released Winter Greatest Hits, a 60-second video, showcasing Prince George in all its wintertime glory.

“As the basecamp to the north, we’re a starting point for northern adventure. It also means we get a lot of snow, and cold days,” said CEO of TPG Colin Carson. “We want to celebrate that.”

The video takes viewers on a journey of different trails, parks and activities to enjoy—even when the temperatures dip below zero.

“We know not everyone gets a proper winter so we’re telling folks around the world that they can experience one right here in Prince George,” said Carson.

The video will be marketed across multiple platforms reaching potential visitors from the US, Asia and Europe.

“Not only will this video attract tourists, but also potential conference, sport and live entertainment organizers. Showing off the different facilities—some of which are world-class—is a wonderful way to highlight our city,” said Carson.

Winter Greatest Hits showcases cross country skiing at Caledonia Nordic Ski Club, winter walks at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park and catching a hockey game at CN Centre.

Viewers may recognize a familiarity in the Winter Greatest Hits video. It’s a continuation from the successful Summer Greatest Hits, which garnered over 1.7 million clickable impressions.

Winter Greatest Hits was filmed and produced by local videography company 6ix Sigma.
