A third period comeback propelled the Spruce Kings to a 3-2 win over the Cranbrook Bucks Friday.
The Bucks had roared out to a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals from Bryce Sookro and Luke Prof.
Neither side dented the twine in the second frame. However, the Spruce Kings came out strong in the third with a goal at the 47-second mark off the stick of Luca Primerano. Alexis Cournyer tied the game up at the 7:31 mark of the third and Owen Goodbrand potted the winner at the 18:38 mark.
Marcus Ouellet made 27 saves in the Spruce Kings net for the win while Braedyn McIntosh made 28 saves in the Cranbrook net.
