Two people are recovering from gunshot wounds following an incident in the backyard of a residence in the 700-block of Johnson Street Thursday.
Just after 1:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 7, Prince George RCMP responded to a report of shots fired at the location.
When police officers arrived at the location, they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds. The injured persons were taken to the hospital where they are being treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The two victims are known to police, and investigators believe this to be a targeted attack, with no increased risk to the general public.
“Police officers are currently looking to obtain any video surveillance or dash camera footage from the area, or to speak with anyone who might have seen people or vehicles traveling through the neighbourhood between 12:30 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. this morning,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.
