Construction association to hold ‘Fill the Fleet’ donation event

The Northern Regional Construction Association (NRCA) is holding its ‘Fill the Fleet’ donation event November 18, and will be accepting donations from November 7 to 189 at its office.

This initiative aims to support three local charities: Carrier Sekani Family Services, Salva????on Army, and the PG Humane Society.

The NRCA invites the community to join in this charitable endeavour by contributing warm clothing and items for Carrier Sekani Family Services, non-perishable food for Salvation Army, and pet supplies for the PG Humane Society. A full wish list can be seen here.

In addition to physical donations, the NRCA is accepting cash contributions, allowing donors to distribute their funds to one or more of the participating charities.

Event Details

 

  • Drop Off Period for Donations: November 7-17 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Excluding the weekend)
  • ‘Fill The Fleet’ Donation Event: November 18 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Location: NRCA Office at 3851 18th Ave., Prince George, BC, V2N 1B1

On November 18, the NRCA will host the main event where community members are encouraged to drop off their dontions between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. They have secured the support of local companies – Local Rental Solutions, Datoff Construction, and the CAT Rental Store – who will have their construction equipment on-site to stack and load the donations.

“This ‘Fill the Fleet’ event is a testament to the generosity and compassion of our community,” said Nicole Bryant, CEO of the NRCA. “We are excited to facilitate this opportunity for individuals to come together and make a tangible, posi????ve impact on the lives of those who may need support during this season.”

The organization encourages community members to bring their donations to the event, see construction equipment and learn more about the industry.
